Flower Cards

Idaho wildflowers and some domestic flowers are harvested, pressed and dried each year at Marymount Hermitage in Mesa, Idaho. Sister M. Beverly, HSM then creates real flower cards for sale every year. From the real flower cards, some few are selected for printing, which is done in-house at Marymount Hermitage.

The scanned print cards which you see here give you an idea of the kind of flowers used, the style of arrangement, and the background paper color. The scans are very high quality. What you will actually see in the card you order and receive will surprise you for its brilliant color and realistic appearance. Please observe that the images shown here are all copyrighted. It is appreciated if you do not attempt to print or use the scanned cards from this website.

Print cards are 4 1/2” x 6 1/2” and are blank inside for your own personalized message. The cards each come with a white envelope and, if you buy more than one, the set will come in a convenient manila storage envelope. Print cards are $3. Order by number, such as “W5”. The printed back of the card identifies the flowers used and some information about Marymount Hermitage and the Hermit Sister’s life, contact information, and the order number.

The card section of this Gift Shop is organized in the following way: Regular print cards are categorized by the color of the feature flower. Secondly, there is a section of print cards which can be used for all occasions: Thank You, Congratulations, Sympathy, Happy Birthday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving. The specifications mentioned above apply to all print cards.

REAL FLOWER CARDS
Orders for real flower cards will be filled from the available inventory. Custom orders can be requested, but must be within a mutually agreeable time-frame and must be pre-paid. Real flower cards are $6.

Real flower cards are blank inside and are currently 5 1/4” x 8”. Real flowers are assembled on a variety of paper colors, most often on white, but also on green, pink, yellow, blue and more rarely red. White or colored envelopes are used with these cards. Real flower cards come in a clear plastic package and include a small paper with an explanation of Marymount Hermitage, the Hermit Sister’s life, source for the flowers, and contact information.

Ideas for ordering Real Flower cards:
1. You can just place an order for the quantity you are requesting and be pleasantly surprised at the variety and beauty of the flowers.
2. You can suggest what main flower you would prefer, either in color or kind.
3. You can view the kinds of print cards to give you an idea of flowers and arrangements and suggest that a particular card (or more) is the one you would like, if it is available.
